A good place to start is to ask yourself what aspects of healthcare interest you most and the type of allied health professional you'd like to become. If you want to work directly with patients, you may be interested in Health Sciences courses to build skills for a Medical Assisting, Medical Lab Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology or Surgical Technologist role.
Or, if you are interested in working indirectly with patients, but still want to help improve patient care, you can pursue a degree in Health Information Management, Health Information Technician, Health Sciences, Medical Administrative Assistant and Medical Billing and Coding.
